Tribute

On Friday, April 5, 2024, Meghan Marie Neal, beloved wife and mother, passed away at the age of 45 after a year of numerous and cascading health challenges. Born in Mesa, AZ, to Cynthia Neal Kimball and Marion Neal, she spent much of her childhood in Albuquerque, NM, before moving to Wheaton, IL with her family at 12 years old. After graduating high school, Meghan sought greener pastures back to Albuquerque, where she met her future husband, Paul Aragon. Seeking more familiar pastures that were closer to schools and hospitals, they moved back to Wheaton, married, and raised their son, Sebastian. Meghan was a champion for helpless or forgotten creatures and spent her years fostering and adopting senior dogs, about any animal she could get her hands on including snakes (oh, the stories we could tell!) and even a tarantula (seriously, she even made a leash for it!). Meghan’s compassion knew no bounds surpassed only by her sense of humor and irony. Her infectious laughter still rings throughout our house. From her early years, Meghan’s deep intelligence and insight were evident. From the time she was a toddler, Meghan questioned everything and everyone, ever wanting to learn more and get to the why of things. She read voraciously, from manga books to biblical commentaries, and cherished meaningful, one-on-one conversations over large social gatherings. She always prioritized family, particularly her husband and son. She loved spending time watching and sharing her love of movies, food, music, and just about anything that points out the ridiculous nature of a world that takes itself too seriously.

Friends & Family

She is survived by her husband, son, mother and father, brother (Marion), Grandmother Marie, step-parents, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, step-siblings, and in-laws. She is preceded by her grandmother Margaret, grandfather Kenneth, uncle Kenny, and an entire menagerie of pets we know she's looking forward to seeing again.
