Tribute

Those who knew Jim will remember him as a thoughtful, intelligent, and very talented man, with a passion for music and computer technology. He excelled at both, first getting his degree from the Florida State University School of Music, where he played in the renowned Marching Chiefs Band all four years. After graduating, he taught at several Dade County middle schools, eventually becoming a permanent teacher at Miami Lakes Middle School. Both during his school years and his professional career, Jim performed as an organist at various churches in the Bainbridge, Georgia, and South Florida areas, eventually taking the position at St. James Lutheran in Coral Gables, FL, where he remained until his retirement, a period of well over 30 years. But computers were where his destiny lay. He taught himself all things related to the field, and became the Media Specialist at Miami Lakes Middle School. That led to a promotion to IT Administrator at Barbara Goleman High School, a role he filled until his retirement. Jimmy kept everyone around him smiling and laughing with his razor-sharp wit. And he was loved for his willingness—and ability—to help with the technology that befuddled so many of us. He was just a warm and fun person to be around! In addition, he was a supporter of The Lighthouse For The Blind and St Jude Children's Hospital organizations. Jim, you were a beloved brother, uncle, and friend. We will miss you always. Rest In Peace. The Biddlecom Family
