Tribute

Barbara was a graduate of Cambridge High School and had an Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education. She retired at the age of 70 from the Meadville Head Start Program. She was an avid bible reader. She enjoyed hiking and playing cards with her grand and great-grandchildren. She knew all of Pennsylvania’s wildflowers and always pointed them out during our walks in the woods.

Friends & Family

Survivors include daughter Coletta Reitinger and husband Joseph of Conneaut Lake, daughter Sherrie Beardsley and husband William (Bill) of Cheyenne WY, son Shawn Smith of Springboro, and sister Betty Geidner of Florida. She had several grandchildren: Andrew Reitinger and wife Heather, Sherri Atwell, Jarrett Hanson, Dana Jones, Willlie Jones, Brian Beardsley wife Amanda, Great Grandchildren: River Reitinger, Willow Romeo, Duenja Beardsley, Houlton Williams, Storie Sterling. Great-great-grandchildren Raven and Jasper. She was preceded in death by her parents, Daughter Martha Hanson, Son Lawrence Smith. Grandsons Teddy Hanson, Danny Hanson, and Loren Hanson
