By donating your body to science, you provide a unique gift to doctors, researchers, scientists, emergency services personnel, and university medical students around the world. Thanks to your generosity, they will be able to research new life-saving medical and surgical procedures.
We currently pre-register persons living in AZ, CA, CO, DE, FL, IL, IN, NV, NY, NC, OR, PA, TX, WA, and WI. If you do not live in one of these states, simply tell your loved ones you wish to be a body donor to science, so they are aware to call Science Care either at your entry into hospice/palliative care or at the time of need. Exclusions may include contagious diseases, or the inability to place with a current medical or research project at the time of screening.
Most people meet the criteria for donation with Science Care, including those with cancer, heart disease, arthritis, diabetes, and other chronic conditions. Certain conditions such as HIV/AIDS, Hepatitis B or C, COVID-19 (symptoms, exposure, or diagnosis), extremely high or low body mass index (BMI), or the state of passing could exclude donation.
