Tribute

Bertha (Bertie) Sherwood, age 72, of Temple Terrace, FL, passed away suddenly but peacefully. Bertie worked at the Walt Disney Call Center Guest Services as a Cast Member just short of 35 years. Bertie is survived by her sister: Margaret Kunz (Frank); Niece Jeannie Kunz (TimDoyle); Nephews: Frank Michael Kunz Jr; and William Joseph Kunz and Great Niece "Molly Margaret". Bertie boldly cared and supported a cognitively impaired woman whose son is Brian M. Wolcott. Bertie helped raise Brian and lovingly considered him a nephew also. Bertie (known as Suzie on the phones) had so many co-workers that she cared about and loved so very dearly. I, as her sister, knew she wanted to work forever and be part of the Amazing Front Line Force that made the Disney Call Center an Outstanding "Great" Department. Bertie knew how hard each and every individual at the Disney Call Center worked because she did the same thing. Bertie and her coworkers always had a professional outlook. They make sure that the Guest is satisfied and always comes first. Bertie supported the Call Center's proactive relationship-building approach by delivering empathy to promote a long-term relationship with the Guests. Bertie was proud to be a Walt Disney Call Center Guest Service Cast Member and she was proud of all of her co-workers as well. Bertie was a sunshine made person: known for her reliability, humor, and the easy way she connected with others. She was cheerful, kind, generous, and unmistakably vibrant. Bertie had a fun-loving, bubbly, and welcoming personality. She was truly the life of the party; someone who could make ordinary moments feel brighter. She will be remembered for her energy, her warmth, and the unmistakable spark she carried with her throughout her life. Her generosity, in life and beyond, is a true testament to her character. Many lives were brightened by Bertie and the world is better, kinder, and more hopeful. With love and gratitude, we remember Bertie's spirit, her laughter, and the countless ways she made life fuller for everyone fortunate enough to know her. She had a loving, fun style and flair that was contagious and was always willing to share her "Happy Dance" combined with the wishes of Pixie Dust and A Magical Day. Bertie had Sunshine Spirit that made you feel good to be around. When she loved you, she loved hard. The meaning of Bertha is: The bright one; Famous. Bertha is a feminine name with Old German roots for making sure the baby never dims in light. Coming from the name Berahta, it translates to “the bright one” or “famous,” matching the little one's sharp, dazzling spirit. Bertie rests in Heaven where her kindness, grace, and gentle spirit continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her. Her life was a beautiful reflection of God's love, and she will be deeply missed until the day we are reunited with her. Bertie's generosity continues beyond life itself. Though you have left us in life you're never truly gone. Love You!
