Blair Brooks

Tribute

My mom loved fishing, baseball, her job, and her family. She loved turtles, tigers, and farm animals (especially horses). She was kind to people that knew her, but she always knew what to say when others did not. She loved working at the fair; that was her favorite job. She loved watching baseball (especially mariners and astros) If you got her mad she would tell you and she wouldn't talk to you for awhile afterwards. She loved the beach, walking on the pier, watching the ocean, sometimes with me by her side. She would always catch fish, then give them away if she wasn't using them for bait. She would help others if they needed something. She lived all over the state, born in San Jose California, lived in Tujunga, Lake Los Angeles, Tustin, Lancaster, Palmdale, Rosemond, Pearblossom, Tehachapi, and beach cities. She even lived in Florida for a time with my sister and my niece. She taught us to be straightforward, tell the truth, and some work ethic. We will always have memories or stories to tell because they told us some, or we made stories and memories together. She was knowledgeable about veterinary work and being a security guard. She always said there's a lot to see, and to be attentive. She loved music; we went to concerts together, even went to the movies... There are so many concerts and movies that we saw; I wouldn't fit them all. There are so many memories that I have; I wish I could share them all. She loved baseball and telling stories so much... She is survived by daughters Melissa and Lydia, her grandchildren, her sister, and numerous cousins and a nephew.
