Brittney Clevenger
Tribute
To any medical student or scientist who gets the honor and assignment to my daughter for learning, as you prepare for your amazing achievement in the medical field, I hope you find her helpful as you navigate your career process. Brittney was 31 when she passed. It was unexpected. She has parents who love her, I’m her mother, and she was my first baby. Brittney was amazing, she was so funny, always laughing and making jokes. She was beautiful, she was kind. She had a good life, from birth until she took her last breath. I had the honor to be with her from her first breath coming into the world to her last breath on this earth. I’m sad she didn’t get to fulfill all her future dreams, although I am glad she is in her final resting place (no pain, no sorrow, only happiness) with the angels and her maker welcoming her. She has many aunts (I have 4 sisters), and they adore her. She has several uncles who also adore her. She has grandparents who love her so much. She was a huge part of all of our lives, as we were a tight-knit family. She has nieces and nephews whom she always bragged about. She was the life of the party. But at times reserved and quiet. She had so many friends, and she made them laugh. She thought of others before herself because she never wanted to “burden” anyone. As a nurse, I’m still questioning what went wrong at the hospital for her to decline so fast. This is another reason I wanted her to donate her body. She had multiple issues that her body just couldn’t fight any longer. I’m not sure if you received what all her issues were. But here are a few: started as UTI, then multiple organ failure due to septic shock, MRSA bilateral pneumonia, and also damaged liver. I pray that she provides those who get to learn, and that you will be even better at what you do because of her. Good luck with your medical journey, and may god give you the guidance and knowledge to be the best physician you can be. I love her so much, my Brittney Renee Clevenger. My sweet baby girl. I find some peace knowing she is allowing her body to be experimented on and researched, which will allow for better medical experts. Brittney was a paralegal for 10 years; she was so very smart. Since her grandfather is an attorney, she was very familiar with the court system since she was a baby. Everyone loved seeing Brittney with her grandfather when he brought her to the courthouse. They were inseparable. Brittney was so very loved. Her sisters and family are thinking of her and miss her so much.
