Carla (Herron) Silva
Tribute
Carla Silva, the vibrant artist, dedicated art teacher, oldest sister, fun-loving aunt, and cherished friend, passed away at 70 years old in the Village of Oak Creek in Sedona, Arizona. Born in Kansas City, Missouri, Carla lived a life full of adventure, passion, and creativity. Survived by five of her seven siblings and her two daughters, she will always be remembered for her vivacious spirit, contagious laughter, and zest for life. Carla's passion for art will live on through her large collection of paintings, many of which have never been seen. As a public art school teacher throughout California and Arizona, Carla touched the hearts of many with her incredible creativity and contagious energy, encouraging her inner-city students to pursue careers in the arts instead of violence. Her Celebration of Life will be held at a later date, with the location and time to be determined. Carla's love of life, infectious personality, and creative spark will never be forgotten. Rest in peace, dear Mama C and dance with your angels.
