Tribute

Pattie Gage was born on 05/23/1938 in Datto, Arkansas, to parents T.O. Myers and Clara Hazel Raney. She grew up in St. Louis, MO, the oldest of 4 siblings. At the age of 17, she came to California, where she met and married Lee Gage and had 4 children together. After their divorce, Pattie worked at Fresno Community Hospital for years. She loved trips to Morro Bay, weekends at Wildwood Country Club, waterskiing, and trips to Yosemite (she loved the outdoors). In 1977, she moved to San Diego and became an employee for the State of California, working at the EDD and eventually with the prison system in Chowchilla and San Luis Obispo, where she was a medical transcriptionist, the latter from which she retired. She loved to jog on the beach in her younger years, but photography was her passion. She won multiple awards for her photographs over the years. She passed away on 10/01/2025 at age 87. She was preceded in death by her oldest son, Bryan Lee Gage. She is survived by her 3 daughters, Cherri Kay and Don Buchanan, Peggie Ann (Torres), and Janice Lynn (Davis). Pattie had 8 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great granddaughter, and 1 great-great grandson due 2 weeks after her passing. She is also survived by her sister Carelyn Parr, brother Lloyd Myers and (Dustra) and sister Sharon Sterling. She is also survived by many friends with whom she loved playing cards and board games, and will be greatly missed.
