Tribute

October 25, 1941 – September 24, 2026: Daniel Howard Plant, affectionately known as Dan, Danny, or Pop, was born in Dover, New Jersey, and spent much of his life in the Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania. Dan was a hardworking man who spent many years as a truck driver, traveling across the country before turning his talents to carpentry and masonry. He was happiest working with his hands, whether building something, fixing what was broken, or tackling another project. He had a love for motorcycles, music, and the open road. He enjoyed grilling, sharing stories, and spending time with family. His love of music was something he passed along, and certain songs will forever bring back memories of him. Dan was a beloved father, grandfather, brother, and longtime partner. His life was filled with stories, laughter, and memories that will continue to be shared and cherished by those who knew and loved him. In his final months, even as his words became fewer, there were still smiles, familiar looks, and moments of laughter that meant more than he could have known. Those small moments became precious memories that will be carried for a lifetime. Dan leaves behind a lifetime of stories, photographs, and memories that will continue to be shared through the generations. His legacy lives on in the family he helped create, the things he built, and the lives he touched along the way. Dad, your journey here has ended, but your story lives on in every memory we share. You will always be loved, always be remembered, and forever missed. With love, Your daughter, Melanie
