Darryl Matulevich

Tribute

Darryl Kevin Matulevich passed on February 16, 2026. The son of Anthony and Pauline (Koffel) Matulevich, he grew up on their dairy farm in Hop Bottom, PA, with his five older siblings. He helped milk cows, harvest crops, and worked in his father’s bluestone quarry. A 1978 graduate of Mountain View High School, he was the first recipient of the school’s Most Improved Student award. Darryl enjoyed nature and loved being outdoors, whether working, hiking, or biking. He’d go on cross country adventures for months at a time, returning with unique rocks to add to his collection. Darryl enjoyed seeing his extended family at weddings and their annual family reunion.

Friends & Family

He is survived by his sister, Antoinette and brothers Paul, Gary, and Terry, as well as his Aunt Betty and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, grandparents, and his older brother, Richard, a stonecutter from Windsor, NY who passed on Sept 18, 2025.
