Donna Thomson
Tribute
I could not find words to pay tribute to the life of my beautiful mother. I feel the pain, yet deny the reality. What I have are thoughts that come; I feel like she is speaking to me without words. Trying to help me understand what I cannot see, but helps to reinforce a belief. I have tried to translate those thoughts and messages here: The Place Where There Is Only Love: Send me a message and describe, A place where there is only love, The gentle release that finally came, So that you could rise above, You are everywhere yet nowhere, In what I see and how I feel, Contradictory in so many ways, Except the pain, so very real, A soft breeze and a dragonfly, I feel sure that you are near, I close my eyes and think of you, You have made it crystal clear, Please don’t cry my darling, As I no longer have any pain, Your heart must surely know, That we shall meet again, Hold fast to all our memories, Do not let them fade away, Lest life go on without you, Make the most of every day, We shall be forever reunited, For now, we know not when, In the place where there is only love, Your everlasting life will begin
