Elfriede Brackett
Tribute
Elfriede J. Brackett, of Aberdeen, MD, passed away on December 7. Born in Munich, Germany, she was the daughter of the late Donald A. Brackett and Frieda R. Brackett. Her parents moved her to Maryland at a young age, where she built her life. She spent more than thirty years working as a bank teller, offering a smile, familiarity, and kindness to everyone who crossed her path. Elfriede loved the simple joys that made her life feel full - her family, her friends, her dogs, dancing, music, and the calm of the beach. She carried a determined spirit and a will that helped her keep going. She lived life with an independence that was uniquely hers, and the goal of making sure to create a life that mattered. Elfriede was a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her family will remember her not only for her strength, but for the pieces of her that were softer - the love she had for simple joys, the stories she carried from her life, and the moments of connection she shared with the ones she cared about most.
