Tribute

Gail Lee was a loving wife, devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a professional credit and medical billing specialist. These are the standards she maintained throughout her adult life. The real depth to her was a life centered around her relationship with her identical twin sister and cadre of family and special friends. A native of New York City, she graduated from Jamaica Vocational High School as a top-level student. Accounting and administrative skills were her primary business skills. Gail’s relationship with friends and family was her shining talent and joy. The connections and caring with these people were a treasure she always valued. She was married to Tom in 1967, for an all too brief 58 years together. Gail and Tom raised their son to also become a devoted husband and loving father to a daughter and son of his own. His professional skills earned him a position as a director-level administrator in a large school district in Southern California and brought pride and satisfaction to a happy mother. There was an exceptional bond and relationship between Gail and her granddaughter. The many conversations and playing of games, plus the time spent together and time spent on the phone, demonstrated the shared love. They were the best that a grandmother and granddaughter could be. Gail’s grandson is also a devoted husband and loving father with a daughter and son of his own. Additionally, he is now a respected and successful independent business owner, another point of joy and happiness for Gail. Gail’s true measure of being a superior woman was in her refusal to complain or become bitter at the circumstances of her terminal illness.
