Tribute

Gertrud Beavers was born in Karlsbad Czechoslovakia in 1937. She was the oldest of 4 children. She had one sister Christa, and 2 brothers Richard and Reinhold. She experienced World War II and had to flee her home and relocate to Germany. She grew up in Germany and met and married an American soldier. She moved to the United States and taught herself how to read and write English.
