Gordon was a devout Christian. He loved his wife of 38 years. He has 2 children, 2 stepchildren, 6 grandchildren, 1 step-grandchild, and 7 great-grandchildren. He always wanted to help the poor and homeless. He had many adversities in life, but was able to overcome them. He loved to read and watch sports, and loved politics.
