Gordon Williams
Tribute
Gordon Ralph Williams was born to Ralph Williams and Wilma Gwendolyn Parker. Gordon grew up in West Virginia with his three brothers and participated in school and 4H activities. Gordon graduated from West Virginia University in 1955 with a BS in Electrical Engineering. After finishing college he served two years in the U.S. Air Force at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. He married Mary Ann Hite in 1956 and in 1957 they moved to Syracuse, New York where he worked for General Electric. The family moved to Phoenix, Arizona in 1968. From 1970 to 1986, Gordon worked for Honeywell and in 1979, he obtained an MS in Industrial Engineering from Arizona State University. He volunteered with the Boy Scouts, Trinity United Methodist Church, Rocky Mountain National Park, Baptist Hospital and Reading for the Blind and Dyslexic. A memorial service will be held at Trinity United Methodist Church on August 31th @ 10:30am. Donations to Trinity would be greatly appreciated instead of flowers. Gordon is preceded in death by his wife Mary Ann Williams and son Tom Williams. He is survived by son George of Colorado Springs, CO; daughter Susan of Glendale, AZ; grandchildren Lauren Williams of Widefield, CO; Whitney Alexander of Elizabeth, CO; Gracie Williams of Alexandria, VA, Ashlyn Pappas of Colorado Springs, Parker Williams, Allison Williams, Juliana Struckmeyer of Phoenix, AZ and 3 great-grandchildren.
