Henry Mikaelian
Tribute
Henry (Hank) Mikaelian was born in New York City, Manhattan, specifically in an area known as Hell's Kitchen. As a child, he took care of two younger siblings. He worked at numerous small jobs to make ends meet. He met his wife Anita in his early 20s and soon moved to upstate New York, first living in LaGrange and then Clinton Corners. He and Anita had two children. Hank worked in the Water and Wastewater Industry for many years and also owned and operated a vending machine business. He later worked doing home inspections. During retirement, he and Anita spent years travelling the country in their 5th wheel doing work camping jobs. Hank enjoyed playing poker in his later years with his friends. He lived in a beautiful retirement community in Nokomis, Florida, with his dog Shaggy before moving to an independent living situation shortly before his death. He passed quietly and comfortably in hospice after being diagnosed with lung cancer a few months earlier. Hank loved to make people laugh and was a very hard worker. He was kind and fair. Those are the things he would want to be remembered for.
