Howard Schmitz

Tribute

Howard Schmitz was born in April of 1933 in Wabasha, Minnesota. He had a farm life up until the age of 21. He then married his lovely wife, Joan, and had three children. Two boys and one girl. They moved to California in 1956 to start his career as an airplane mechanic for United Airlines. Moving on to be an airplane pilot for 30 years, retiring as a Captain, a job he absolutely loved. After retiring, Howard and Joan moved to Colorado. He had six grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. In his life, he enjoyed scuba diving, fishing in Alaska, watching football, and being an amazing husband, father, and grandfather. He loved having people around, especially his loved ones.
