As long as I can recall my brother desired to donate his body to science in the desire of helping mankind. Jack was always fascinated with science and devoted much of his life focusing on advancing his knowledge of science. Jack was born in Saginaw, Michigan with a flare and giftedness in the arts. He was extremely creative in design, and he spent many years using that passion in the antique business restoring, buying, and selling antiques. In later years Jack focused on collecting antique carnival glass. His other interests included: NFL football, NASCAR racing, as well as watching several History channel programs such as The American Pickers, The Antique Roadshow and Pawn Stars. Jack also enjoyed swimming, fishing, playing his guitar, and listening to Rock and Roll music. Stevie Nicks was his favorite female artist, and he particularly liked her song “On the Edge of Seventeen.” Jack has one son Nathaniel Pomeroy and two grandchildren, Luke and Aurora Pomeroy. Jack grew up in a small Michigan town called Howell with his five siblings: Karin Pomeroy, Mary Ellen (Pomeroy) and DeLynn McWilliams, Barbara Pomeroy Self, Kevin and Teresa Pomeroy and many loving nieces and nephews. His parents Jack and Donna Pomeroy owned a children’s store called Pomeroy’s Kids Stuff in which Jack was the manager of their Lansing store before starting his own business in antiques. Jack was proceeded in death by his younger brother Brian Bard Pomeroy and his parents Jack and Donna Pomeroy.
