Tribute

Janet was born in Connecticut but lived most of her life in California. A mom of 4 children, she went to nursing school when they were older and earned her RN degree. She later became a Nurse Family Practitioner and after that taught Nursing at Biola University for over 17 years. As a woman who dedicated her professional career to caring for and treating people with health concerns, a significant part of her career was to educate others in health care. Janet chose to continue her influence and impact in the educational arena of medicine by making her body a donation to Science Care.

Husband of 65 years, Dennis Cozad; children: Jeanine Bass (Jeff), Duke Cozad (dec'd), Jeff Cozad, Tammy Meatzie (Tom); 4 Bass grandchildren: Jennifer Colucci, Jonathan Bass (dec'd), Julianne Fuda, Jessica Bearss; 4 Meatzie grandchildren: Colin, Laura, Ethan, Jillian; 7 great-grandchildren: Michael and Brooklyn Fuda, Sam and Alexander Bass, Jackson Colucci, Andrew and Jameson Bearss. AND many, many friends who miss her.
