Jason Layson
Tribute
Jason Layson liked to be called Jay. I met him at a sheet metal shop, started giving him rides to work and home, and then started dating. Dated for 2 years, then got married on February 15, 2003. I have kids who are his stepkids. To him, those are his kids. He's never had any and never been married except for me. He was a surfer. He was from Franklin, Illinois, lived in Miami, and moved to Homosassa. We have been here for a long time. He has a heart of gold, and he loves making people laugh. He tells stories when he was growing up, funny as hell, and couldn't ask for anybody better to have a good friend than Jay. Best father, best husband, best friend in the world you could ever ask for. To me, he will always be my first and my last, and I promise him that if one of us goes, neither one of us will marry again. I won't find anybody like him, not ever. I love this man to the moon and back. He loved our kids, Nicole & Daniel, and he loved our grandkid's Elijah and Nevaeh DeBarge. So we've been together from 2000 till 2025, until he passed away, that's a lot of years to be with somebody you love so much. Till death do us part that was our wedding bells, and that's what I did, I took care of my husband until he passed away.
