Tribute

Jeffrey Youger, age 68, of Monongahela, Pennsylvania, passed away at home on February 19, 2026, surrounded by family after a short but courageous battle with cancer. Jeffrey was born on February 21, 1957. Jeffrey was a graduate of Charleroi Area High School, Class of 1975. He spent his career as a machinist, a trade that perfectly matched his hands-on nature and problem-solving skills. He truly knew how to do a little bit of everything and was always willing to help anyone in need. After many years of hard work, he retired, leaving behind a legacy of dedication, generosity, and quiet strength. Above all else, Jeffrey was the best dad and Pappy ever. He helped raise his grandchildren and made it a point to visit them every single day—a testament to the deep love and commitment he had for his family. Dependable, kind, and selfless, he was someone people could always count on. To all who knew him, he was simply a great guy with a big heart. Jeffrey was preceded in death by his parents, Williard Youger and Elnora “Jeanne” Youger. Jeffrey is survived by his loving daughter, Jillian Youger (David Gray), who, along with his grandson Logan Keller, lovingly served as his caretaker; his cherished grandsons, Logan and Landon Keller; his former wife and devoted caretaker, Mary Youger; his brother and sister-in-law, Williard and Carmen Youger; his sister, Pam McKee, and her significant other, Hammer; his nephews, Steven Youger and Anthony McKee; his nieces, Jessica Youger and Deanna Mooney (Shawn); his best friend, Janelle Shaffer; his former son-in-law, Matthew Keller; and his loyal companion, his beloved dog, Kiara. In accordance with his wishes, no services will be held, and Jeffrey generously donated his body to science. His kindness, strength, and unwavering love for his family will live on in the many lives he touched. In his memory, the family urges everyone to keep up with their age-appropriate annual health checkups.
