Tribute

Jerome Stanley Wozniak "Jerry" of Chandler, Arizona passed away peacefully, on Saturday, February 18th, 2023 at Hospice of the Valley (Dobson Home) surrounded by friends and family. Jerry was born on May 30th, 1939 in Hamtramck, Michigan, and shortly after moved to North Tonawanda, New York. At 9 years old his family moved to Mesa, Arizona. As a young man and through adulthood he owned many hot rods and old cars, he loved dirt bikes and going camping, and bowling, After Jerry graduated from Mesa High School in 1957, he went on to join the National Guard in 1959. In 1960 he was certified as a Medical Specialist, remaining in the reserves until 1965. He also served as a Sargent for the Mesa Police Department from 1962-1972. He then worked in sales for Ewing Irrigation, Chapman Chevrolet, and various other employers for several years. He worked for Progressive Electronics as Sales Manager until retirement. He enjoyed his travels across the United States doing trade shows for his products. After retirement, he spent his time working at Whirlwind Golf Course as a Ranger, and Golf-smith as a salesman. He truly enjoyed spending his spare time playing golf with his friends as well as designing landscapes at his new home in Chandler which he move into with his wife, in 1995. He resided in this home for the remainder of his life. In 1996 he gave his life to the Lord and was baptized. He had a passion for ushering at Crossroads Nazarene Church for 15 years. He later attended Arizona Community Church. He loved his dogs Jaxon and JJ. Jerry met Mary in September 1994 and they married in 1995. He was a great Husband and loved his wife very much. She loved him dearly. He was loved by his family and many friends. Jerry is preceded in death by his parents Chester and Hattie Wozniak and his sister Marilyn Milligan. He is survived by his wife Mary Wozniak, his son Christopher Wozniak and family, his nephew Mark Leek and family and Matthew Leek, stepchildren, Bradley Frazee and Family. Chad Frazee and Family, and Marci Watson and Family. A Celebration of Life Service will be held for Jerry at Arizona Community Church, 9325 South Rural Road Tempe, Arizona on March 18th, 2023 at 10:AM.
