Tribute

On the afternoon of March 18, 2023, Jerry Wade Koger 63 years old, passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends. Jerry was born to Richard, Janet (Ramey)Koger on June 6, 1959. Jerry met his sweetheart Birgit at Aiken High School, and they were later married on September 1, 1981. Jerry worked at Graeter's for 38 years as the head baker. Jerry leaves behind his wife of 42 years Birgit, daughter Tabitha, grandchildren Caleb Buck, Kylie Buck, Tessa Koger and Carl Brown; and his son Jeremy (Ashley) and granddaughter Aliyah Koger. Jerry had five brothers and one sister. Jerry is preceded in death by his brother Richard and sister in-law Joan (Huff) Koger, and Ronald Koger. He is survived by sister in-law Jane (Romic Dalantan) Koger wife of Ronald, brother James, Isabel (Godos) Koger, brother Charles, Heather (Carroll) Koger, brother David, Cheryl (Sanders) Koger and his sister Kathryn Burgan (Koger), Marvin Wilson. Jerry's legacy will live on through his cousins, nephews, nieces, great-nephews, great-nieces, other family members, and friends. Please join us to celebrate Jerry's life at the memorial service. A memorial service for Jerry Wade Koger will be held on April 15, 2023, at 2 o'clock. Location: The Wesleyan Church; 419 North Main St.; Milan, Indiana 47031 Per Jerry's request in lieu of sending flowers, his wishes were that you make a donation to the American Cancer Society. The money collected at the church will also be going to the American Cancer Society in his name.
