Tribute

To know her was to love her. Jill wasn’t just the heart of our family; she was the laughter, the strength, the soul, and the light that made everything better. She was the funniest, kindest, and most loving person we’ve ever known. Her laugh was infectious. That high-pitched cackle that started small and turned into something completely contagious. If you got her going, you were stuck in the vortex of joy, and you never wanted out. That laugh made everything better. One of our favorite things about our Mom was her quick wit and sharp comebacks. She made people feel seen, important, and loved. Mom was the definition of a bookworm. She loved the solitude of reading. She could have had her own library with as many books as she owned. Jill loved her grandkids, and she loved to spoil them, too. She loved to give and was known for her over-the-top gifts. Gifts that were as funny as they were thoughtful. She is what made Christmas magical. When you would go to her house at Christmas time, you felt like you were walking into Santa’s workshop. It could have been the 200 Santas she had set out everywhere, but it was magical. Mom loved having Christmas Eve at her house. Every year, when she would sit down to pass out her gifts, you could see how excited she would be. Seeing her excitement brought the magic. Jill is a woman who will be dearly missed by every person who has had the pleasure of knowing her. Forever in our hearts. We love you, Mom. Love, Sara, Autumn, and Kristine.
