John Timothy Berthiaume, known affectionately as Johnny B., passed away on January 28, 2024, at the age of 53 in Ocala, Florida. He was born on May 29, 1970. John was a beloved husband, father, son, father-in-law, brother, uncle, and brother-in-law, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. John was a kind, caring, and loving individual who touched the lives of those around him. He had a sharp intellect and a great sense of humor that brought joy to everyone he met. John possessed a strong work ethic and was dedicated to his profession. In his career, John made significant contributions to the HVAC industry. From 2001 to 2004, he served as a Junior HVAC Mechanic at Phoenix Air Services Inc. Later, from 2007 to 2018, he worked as an HVAC/R Service Technician at Conserv Building Services, covering areas from Clermont, Florida, to Southern Georgia. John's expertise and commitment to his work were highly valued by his colleagues and clients. Beyond his professional accomplishments, John had a variety of hobbies that he enjoyed. He was a talented guitarist and took pleasure in playing music. He also had a passion for motorcycles, woodworking, bodybuilding, and building guitar amplifiers. These hobbies brought him immense joy and allowed him to express his creativity and passion. One of John’s greatest accomplishments was after having triple bypass surgery in 2009, he went on to compete in the 16th Annual AAPF Frank Kostyo Memorial Powerlifting Championships on March 24th, 2012. John competed in the weight class of 100 kgs (220 lbs) in the Men’s Master 40-44 Division. During this event he became the AAPF State Record Holder in Squat: 185 kg (407.5 lbs), Bench Press: 145 kg (319.5 lbs), Deadlift 225 kg (496 lbs), and Total weight: 555 kg (1223.5 lbs). John was a graduate of Billerica Memorial High School and continued his education at The Peterson School, further honing his skills and knowledge in the HVAC field. His dedication to learning and professional growth was evident throughout his career. John leaves behind a loving family who will forever cherish his memory. He is survived by his wife, Kristin, and their children, Tyler, Brett, and Wyatt. He was a proud father-in-law to Jenna and Natalie, who joined the family through marriage. John also had a close bond with his siblings, Petra, Melanie, and Jackie, and his mother, Theresia. He was preceded in death by his father, John. John Timothy Berthiaume will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His kindness, intelligence, and loving nature will forever be remembered. May his soul rest in eternal peace.
