Joyce Lee Rodgers was born on December 1, 1943, in Santa Ana, California, and died peacefully on June 20, 2026. After graduating from San Diego State University, Joyce dedicated more than forty years to teaching English as a Second Language at Palomar College. A longtime resident of Fallbrook, Joyce built a life centered on education and people. She volunteered at the Fallbrook Library, participated in the local yoga community, and led meditation classes. While facing challenges with her eyesight, she remained remarkably independent, creatively arranging rides to stay connected with friends and activities she loved. Joyce had an inquisitive mind. She enjoyed thoughtful conversation, often challenging assumptions with her sharp wit. She loved making people laugh with her collection of jokes and frequently shared meaningful quotations with friends. Her generosity extended beyond her lifetime. She supported organizations benefiting libraries and the visually impaired community. Joyce leaves behind a sea of friends whose lives have been forever enriched by her authentic way of being.
