Karen Wilson
Tribute
My mother was a complicated, kind, wonderful woman and mother. Her name was Karen, and once that became synonymous with someone who is never satisfied, she wore that badge with pride. Because it's true: nothing was ever good enough for her kids, for her loved ones. She was a fierce protector of the people around her, and if she loved you, there was never any doubt about it. She loved sunflowers because they were bright and made her happy; she loved the simplicity of biscuits and eggs every Sunday for breakfast; she loved to sing (poorly) whenever her heart told her to. Karen Wilson may not be a name that shook the pillars of the Earth, but she changed everyone around her and will be missed every single day. If you're reading this, go have your favorite dessert in her honor. She'd want you to be happy--for as long as you can, each day.
