Kathy Polinsky
Tribute
We would like to pay tribute to an extraordinary person who has touched many lives – our mother, Kathy Polinsky. Growing up, we watched as she faced life’s challenges with strength and a commitment to people. Kathy taught us the value of hard work and perseverance. She raised seven children, often sacrificing her own dreams and aspirations to ensure that we had every opportunity to succeed. She also had the horrible experience of losing a child and through that tragedy and unbelievable grief she always made time for us, showering us with love and attention. Her love and dedication have shaped us into the people we are today. She taught us the importance of family, the power of resilience, and the beauty of unconditional love. Her compassion has touched not only our family but also the lives of everyone she encountered. During our toughest times, she told us our decisions are not the complete picture of who we are. She helped us to see the bigger picture, put our challenges in perspective, and encouraged us to keep driving forward. As adults and now parents, we are reminded of her ability to bring magic to our childhoods, especially during the holidays. She was always able to make every Christmas magical. From her special family recipes (especially the turkey dressing and the never-empty, big red box of Christmas cookies) to her decorations, she was always able to stretch a dollar so thin and so far that as kids we were unaware of the financial challenges of raising such a large family. Everyone received gifts every year, and up to her passing we all still received cards for the Christmas holiday and birthdays. These memories will always have a special place in our hearts. We are filled with gratitude for the incredible mother you are. Your legacy lives on through the love you’ve given, the values you’ve instilled, and the memories we’ll cherish forever. Thank you for being our hero, our friend, and our guiding light. We love you more than words can express.
