Larry John Farrell
Tribute
Larry John Farrell, known as “Stroke,” passed away on May 30, 2025, at the age of 66 in Escondido, California. Born in St. Paul, Minnesota, Larry was a lifelong artist and motorcycle enthusiast who lived boldly and unapologetically. Creative, stubborn, and funny, Larry was known for his sharp humor, love of Harley-Davidson and Indian motorcycles, and his unmistakable presence. He also lived with addiction and health struggles that made his life—and his relationships—complicated. He was not a man who opened up easily or took accountability for his actions, and those challenges left their mark. Yet through it all, Larry’s bond with his daughter Autumn remained unshakable. After three years of immobility in a skilled nursing facility, he chose medical assistance in dying. His final day was spent with his three children, surrounded by Harleys, nature, music, laughter, love, and one last puff of a joint. Larry honorably donated his body to science, helping further our world's research and improving healthcare for all. A celebration of life was held in Escondido, a month after his passing, by his children and friends. A final celebration of life will be held in combination with his mother, Dee Farrell, in Minnesota, with his remaining family in September 2025. Ride free, Stroke.
