Tribute

Lawrence M. Horwitz of Naples Florida passed away November 2022. He worked in the fastener manufacturing industry for 40 years in the Chicago area. He served in the Illinois National Guard, volunteered with the Coast Guard Auxiliary, played tennis and he was an avid boater. While he never had formal classical music training, he was able to play by ear and spent many hours at the piano playing Mozart, and Chopin, and eventually creating his own original pieces. A lifelong learner, he was fascinated by and created numerous geometric drawings. He created the original drawings and his wife added color to create an entirely new work of art. These were displayed in the independent living facility where he spent his last years. He was always in pursuit of knowledge and understanding of the world around us. He will be fondly remembered by his wife, three children, many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
