In loving memory of Lena Canada, a woman whose heart was as generous as her spirit was vibrant. Lena wore many hats throughout her life: devoted mother of two, meticulous legal secretary, and a creative soul who found joy in penning her own books. To know Lena was to know a beautiful blend of warmth and wit; she was a deeply loving person who carried a signature "spitfire" personality, ensuring that life around her was never anything less than spirited and bright. She found her truest contentment in the quiet passions that defined her days: the rhythmic click of knitting needles, the gentle challenge of a complex puzzle, and the simple, sweet indulgence of a favorite treat. Above all else, she was a voracious reader who loved to get lost in a good story. Of all her roles, her favorite was undoubtedly that of Grandmother. Her grandchildren were the light of her life, and the love she poured into them remains her greatest legacy. Whether she was surrounded by her beloved cats, curled up with a book, or laughing with her family, Lena lived with a kindness and fire that touched everyone she met. She will be dearly missed, but her warmth lives on in the many lives she helped sustain through her thoughtful generosity as a donor.
