Tribute

From an early age, Leroy displayed an exceptional aptitude for computers and technology. He shared this interest with his father, who first introduced him to the field. Combined with an insatiable curiosity and a commitment to teaching himself, Leroy developed an impressive depth of knowledge and became known for his computer expertise and technical ability. His curiosity extended well beyond technology, giving him a remarkable understanding of a wide range of subjects. Music was woven throughout Leroy's life. A songbird since childhood, he loved to sing and appreciated many genres of music. His rich, soulful voice often reminded those closest to him of Will Downing. Singing was one of the ways Leroy expressed joy. He would often break into song without warning, inviting those around him to sing along as he harmonized and effortlessly reached his falsetto. He passed down his love for music to his daughter Jasmine with whom he would spend hours talking about music with. Leroy also enjoyed martial arts and took pride in mastering homemade Italian red sauce from scratch. From a young age, Leroy revered his father and cherished their shared love of music, martial arts, computers, and technology that helped shape some of his greatest passions. Later in life, he was known as Leigh by friends and family. Leigh enjoyed reading, learning new things, crocheting, skating, and spending time with loved ones. Leroy was a ray of sunshine whose bright light filled every room he walked into and the hearts of everyone he encountered. Even in his own struggles, he was there for his loved ones and was guaranteed to put a smile on your face (He must have gotten that from his dad). His infectious smile and unmistakable laugh brought warmth to family gatherings and left lasting memories for those who knew him. He was known for his extremely corny sense of humor, his loving and compassionate heart, and his gentle, trusting spirit. Though naturally shy and introverted, he was never afraid to express his opinions. He loved deeply, unconditionally and believed in seeing the good in everyone. Whether remembered for his remarkable intelligence, his endless curiosity, his gift for music, his infectious smile, his unmistakable laugh, or his kind and tender heart, Leroy leaves behind a legacy of love that will live on through all who knew him. Though his voice was made still, the songs he shared, the laughter he inspired, and the love he gave will continue to echo in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
