Linda Jeanette Childers, also known as Linda Filler, Linda Lewis, Linda Sedbrook, Linda Kalinski, and Linda Willis, passed away on January 4, 2023, at the age of 68. She was born on December 29, 1954, in Jim Wells County, Texas, to Patricia McGuire and John E. Childers. Linda loved all living creatures and spent much of her life caring for others. She was a true free spirit, who refused to remain idle; Always seeking an adventure, movement is what defined her. She possessed a gentle soul, offering kindness and welcoming all. She refused to carry the burden of grudges, approaching the world with a non-judgmental grace and an open heart. In death, Linda generously donated her body, offering a final gift in service to others. She is lovingly remembered by her only child, Kelley Lewis, and her cherished grandchildren: DJ, Adrian, Alexandra, and Andrew. Poem: Today marks the anniversary of my mother's departure from this physical world. Her essence was freed from a frail body burdened by illness. As her soul transcended beyond the boundaries of earthly existence, I hope she knew her significance in my life — She was worthy and deserving of infinite blessings. I hope my presence remained etched in her memory as her spirit rose higher and drifted farther away. May she have found comfort in knowing she is never forgotten, and always, deeply loved.
