Tribute

Margie lived in Kansas City most of her life. In April of 2022, she moved to Surprise, AZ to live with her sister, Deb. Margie grew to love the Arizona desert. Her favorite place was Sedona, AZ. She loved the red rock and overall vibe in Sedona. While sitting on the patio of an Airbnb in Sedona, Margie was absolutely fascinated by the night sky and how well she could see the stars. She didn’t want to leave. Who could blame her? It was absolutely stunning! Music was another favorite of Margie’s. She was a huge fan of the Beatles and she loved Paul McCartney! While living with her sister, she adopted her sister’s taste in music; smooth jazz and Spanish guitar. Every day, she watched YouTube videos of seaside or coffee shop ambiance. Overall, Margie’s favorite was classic rock. She was good at knowing artist names, as well as some history of singers and bands. Margie’s morning ritual was to have coffee, sit on the patio, and watch the bunnies and hummingbirds. Even though she no longer has a chance to have another vacation, she was at least able to give of herself in the way of a donation to Science Care. This is something she would be very proud of! Her family misses her and will always remember the positive memories we all had with her. ❤️

Margie Anderson was preceded in death by her parents, Roy Umphrey II, Margaret Umphrey and siblings, Linda Spalding, Michael Howard and Jerry Howard. She is survived by her brothers Joseph (Gene) Umphrey, Roy Umphrey II, sister, Debra Umphrey; sons, James Anderson, David Hale and LoRaine Anderson; grandsons, granddaughters, nieces and nephews.
