Tribute

Maria Cruz (known to many as “Mary Schultz”) was born in La Paloma, Texas, and raised in Michigan. Early in her teenage years, her parents moved the family to Tempe, Arizona. During her journey, she had an unwavering faith in God and family. She was a dedicated mother of three, grandmother of five, and great-grandmother of six. She was a loving daughter, sibling, aunt, cousin, and friend. She had a successful career as a heart pacemaker inspector for three decades and went into retirement, ready to be a grandma and 'G' to all those who knew her. In her free time, she enjoyed spending time with family and friends, drawing, gardening, painting, reading, and traveling. She was very creative and loved doing arts and crafts with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a selfless person, so donating her body to science was fitting. May she live on, continue to do great things here on earth and in heaven. We love you more than the moon and stars, Mama.
