Melinda Hancock

Melinda was born in 1954 in Columbia, SC to James and Jean Wright. Throughout her career as a South Carolina state employee, she devoted herself to helping others. After retiring from public service in 2013, the role she enjoyed most was being "Grandma." Melinda is remembered for her kind and caring nature and her devotion to her family.

Friends & Family

Melinda is survived by two sons, Ty (Morgan) Patton and Justin (Betsy) Hancock, and four grandchildren: Monroe, Adriana, Aniston and Everly. She is also survived by her mother, Jean Wright, and two siblings: Randy and Melisa Wright. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Hancock, her father, James Wright, and brother, Eddie Wright.
