Tribute

Melissa was diagnosed with Myatonic Dystrophy (DM1) in 1994. Since then, she has had her share of ups and downs. She always tried to stay positive, even on her worst days. Melissa was a strong person who would do anything for anyone. In the past 30 years, Melissa always said that she wanted to donate her body to science, with the hopes that they could find just one thing that would help others with the DM1 gene. She was an inspiration to all who knew her and her family. She will be severely missed by all.
