Tribute

Michael’s life began on October 18, 1958, born to George E Moore Jr. and Corrine Dennis Moore Threalkill. Michael leaves to cherish his memories in his siblings' hearts: Sister Paulette Smith and husband Lester Smith, sister Tamara Avant Paulsen, and husband James Paulsen. His nephews: Marius Powell and Johnnie Avant III and 12 great nieces and nephews: Nodia Powell, Jesse Miranda, Jonathan Miranda, Jacob Miranda, Joshua Miranda, Kyla Powell, Angelique Avant, Aubrie Avant, Armani Avant, Alijah Avant, Amari Avant, Avion Avant and many extended family members from across the world who miss and love him dearly. Michael was a lover of education. He studied Psychology and Criminal Law. He graduated with honors and was on the dean's list three consecutive times. After graduating college Michael met his forever partner Gina T. Faulk his forever partner of three decades. Gina preceded him in 2022. Michael had a passion and that was bodybuilding. You couldn’t keep him away from the gym. Michael loved his career as a Security Officer for IBM and SEIU for 22.5 years. There is so much to say about Michael and the people who knew him best will tell you so. Michael also loved being creative making furnishing for his home and being that all-around handyman. Michael also tried to live a humble life reading and adding to his home items of peace and tranquility in Buddha style. That was his way. Michael's last wish was to make it to his retirement and he did just that. He made sure by sporting his new addition to his T-shirt collection that said: “RETIRED 2023 NOT MY PROBLEM ANYMORE.” Michael (Mike) will be missed deeply by us all, for he brought joy, laughter, a crazy attitude, and love to all of us and he lived life his way. Our hearts are heavy. We know that he survived many challenges and now he struggles no more. May God Bless him and keep him safe always in the gates of heaven.
