Michael Alan "Mike" Wimmer, age 59, of Lockport, IL, passed away on March 6, 2024. Born on March 29, 1964, in Chicago, Illinois, he was a beloved husband of Julie for 27 years, a loving father to daughters Jennifer and Emily, and a cherished brother to Pam and Jim. He was also a great brother-in-law and an uncle to numerous nieces and nephews. Mike was preceded in death by his mother, JoAnn Verville. Mike, known for his joyful and funny personality, had a passion for music and was skilled at playing the drums. He was described as kind, outgoing, and deeply devoted to his family. He proudly served in the Navy from 1983 to 1985. Following his military service, Mike pursued a career as a mover, where his dedication and hard work were greatly valued. Outside of work, Mike found solace and joy in playing the drums, showcasing his musical talent and creativity. Mike's departure leaves a silence in our hearts, but his beat goes on. It's not "goodbye," it's just the end of the set. Rock on, Mike, rock on.
