Mozenia Wilson

Tribute

Mozenia Wilson was the youngest of the many children born to Claudia and Booker T. Wilson and it was apparent. Moz had a fondness for the arts especially music and she shared that love and passion with everyone through singing, playing or just listening. I attribute my love of music to her. Mozenia loved her family and she loved hard, often keeping any and every memento that reminded her of those she loved. Although she didn’t have children of her own, Mozenia played a role in rearing a host of nieces, nephews and others and we are grateful for that. Mozenia lived life on her own terms, navigating through some of life’s toughest challenges and trauma. She probably never realized how much we loved her, but I pray that she knows now and has found peace while being reunited with those she truly loved.

Along with family, Mozenia will be missed by her closest longtime friends such as Deborah, Jackie, Noonie and others along with her longstanding companion Robert Benson.
