Tribute

Nancy Tiernan went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 16th, 2025. Nancy was born and raised in Levittown, PA, and was a graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School. In September 1973, she married her devoted husband, Edward (Ebby). They were married for almost 47 years and together they raised two children, Amy and Edward. Nancy was stubborn and witty. She loved coupons and good deals. She took great pride in being featured in an issue of the Philadelphia Inquirer Sunday magazine for her money-saving tricks. She holds the unofficial world record in Tetris. She was an avid reader. She was creative and loved crafting and sewing, making clothes for Amy's dolls, curtains for their apartments and houses, and decorative pillows to sell at craft fairs. Most of all, she loved Jesus, her husband, her children, and her grandchildren. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, Harry Woodruff and Mary (Welch) Woodruff, her brothers Michael Woodruff and Christopher Woodruff, and her beloved husband Edward Tiernan. She will be missed by her daughter, Amy Wheeler, Amy's husband, James, and their children, Kacie (Micah), James, Megan, and Naomi; and her son, Edward (Eddie), his partner Sara, and their children, Simon and Merci. Nancy will also be missed by her siblings: Mary Sock, Joan Woodruff-DeFelice (Mike), Harry, Patrick (Ann), John (Maureen), Matthew (Betsy) and her sister-in-law, Beth.
