Tribute

My mom was an incredible human being. Even at her memorial service, everyone who spoke or attended said that she was the only person they had ever known that no one ever had a bad thing to say about. She was born and raised in East Tennessee, married and raised her family in Ohio, and lived the last 35 years of her life in Florida. She had five children (Donna, Melody, Rusty, Earl, and Bunny), 7 grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren, all whom adored her. My mom changed the entire world by changing the lives of all who knew her, through love. In turn, all of us have gone through life with love, changing the lives of those who know us. She played piano by ear all of her 89 years on the planet and shared her gift with the churches she attended and throughout Sarasota and Manatee Counties in nursing homes. My mom’s face shined with the warmth and love of God everywhere she went. She was born with a twin who preceded her in death 8 months prior to her passing. I remind myself every day that she is reunited with her twin and walking with Jesus, as Jesus tells her that she was “a life well lived.” I miss you so much, Momma.
