Tribute

Paul Edward Blancato, 65, passed away peacefully in Harrisburg, PA, following a brief illness. He was predeceased by his parents, Paul and Patricia Blancato. He was born in Middletown, Connecticut. He is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, John and Jacquelyn Blancato of Plantsville, CT, a sister Sheila Blancato of Newington, CT, a daughter Laura Blancato of Middletown, CT., and several nieces, nephews, grand nieces, and grand nephews. He grew up in Portland, CT., and attended Portland High School, where he played the drums in the band. While he did not graduate, he did earn his GED. He spent most of his adult life as a long-haul truck driver, having driven to almost every state in the country except for Alaska and Hawaii. He lived the latter half of his adult life in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, but came up to Connecticut as often as he could to visit with family and friends. In recent months, he enjoyed going to the senior center to play bingo. He was loved and will be missed dearly. Services to be held at a later date.
