Tribute

In Loving Memory of Penni, It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our beloved mother, Penni, who passed away peacefully on Friday, October 9, 2026, in Chandler, Arizona. She was comfortable, surrounded by family, and welcomed home into the loving presence of the Lord. We are so grateful that nearly all of our family gathered in Arizona just two months ago, in August, to celebrate her 90th birthday. Sharing laughter, stories, and tight hugs across generations was a true gift we will cherish forever, especially the memory of Mom sipping a glass of her favorite red wine with a smile on her face. Born and raised in Renton, Washington, Mom treasured her hometown and the memories of her years there. After high school, she proudly served in the U.S. Air Force and remained deeply patriotic throughout her life. She loved traveling, vacation cruises, beautiful beaches, professional horse racing, music, fashion, and good food. She was also a huge NCAA college football and NFL fan who enjoyed following the games and sharing in the excitement of football season. Mom took great pride in our family genealogy and her career in bookkeeping and accounting, where she worked with wonderful people and formed many lasting friendships. Above all, Mom’s proudest achievement was her family. She raised four children and leaves behind a beautiful legacy of nine grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. Her love, the memories we created together, and the family she helped build will continue to connect generations for years to come. While we miss her beyond words, we take comfort in knowing she is at peace and resting in the loving arms of the Lord. We will remember her smile, patriotism, love of adventure, and the many special moments that made her uniquely Mom. Her memory will live on in the stories we share, the traditions we carry forward, and the deep love that holds our family together. Celebration of Life Our family is planning a Celebration of Life to honor Mom and share memories of her wonderful life. The date of her funeral service is being planned for December 28 and the location will be the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona in north Phoenix. Once the arrangements are finalized, we will share them with our friends and family. In lieu of flowers, our family would deeply appreciate donations to the ALS Association, a cause close to our hearts. Donations in Mom’s memory can be made through our family’s donation page: https://secure.alsaz.org/site/TR/Endurance/General?pg=team&fr_id=1200&team_id=5072 Rest peacefully, Mom. Thank you for the love, memories, and legacy you leave behind. You will forever hold a special place in our hearts and will always be loved, deeply missed, and never forgotten. 🙏❤️ With love and remembrance, Skip and Paivi, Robin and Mike, Liz and Rick
