Tribute

Renee M. Johnson, age 63, of Linesville and formerly of Erie, passed away on Tuesday, August 12, 2025. She was born on August 28, 1961, in Erie, PA, to the late Fredrick and Jean Johnson. Renee was caring, kind-hearted, spirited, and determined. She enjoyed nature, searching for treasures, jewelry, cooking, baking, and restoring things to their original splendor. Her caring nature was displayed by her continuous acts of kindness to help others - she was the person who would help a stranger by any means she could. The most important thing to Renee was family, and she was the biggest cheerleader to those she loved - her cheers were known to be heard over the crowd. Renee's happiest moments were spent with her grandchildren, for whom she moved mountains. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her late husband, Gerald Johnson of Linesville. Renee is survived by her sons, Brian Hatt of Greenville and Greg Gillespie of CO; grandchildren, great-grandchildren, multiple siblings, many friends, and her mini black panther cub, Reme.
