Tribute

Robert J. Burke (“Chipper”), 59, of Mayfield, passed away peacefully at Sacred Heart Hospice in Dunmore, surrounded by loved ones. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, and spending time outdoors. Robert worked for many years as a maintenance mechanic, most recently with Cornerstone Building Brands in Dunmore, and previously at Specialty Records and Nardone’s. He will be remembered for his easy laugh, kind heart, and the way he could fix just about anything. Robert is survived by his beloved companion, Kim Cavalieri, who shared his life and cared for him with love and devotion, along with his daughter, Brittany Burke of Philadelphia, PA, and close family and friends. He also leaves behind his cherished “fur friends,” his beloved dogs, who brought him joy and companionship every day. The family extends heartfelt thanks to the caring staff at Sacred Heart Hospice in Dunmore for their comfort and compassion. True to his nature of helping others, Robert’s final act of kindness was the donation of his body to Science Care for the advancement of medicine. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his honor to Science Care, online at www.sciencecare.com.
