Robert Sheldon “Bob” Raimer, 78, was born in Chicago, Illinois, and later made his home in Phoenix, Arizona. He proudly served his country in the United States Army and spent much of his career in the car sales business. Bob was truly hilarious and had a gift for making people laugh. He was feisty, stubborn, and unapologetically himself. He knew how to push a few buttons, keep everyone on their toes, and somehow make them laugh, all at the same time. Those who knew him best understood that life with Bob was never boring, and they wouldn’t have had him any other way. Bob loved disco music, visiting the casino and racetrack, and cheering on his beloved Chicago White Sox. Above all, he loved spending time with his family. He deeply loved his cousins and extended family and valued the many lasting friendships he formed throughout his life. Bob and his former wife, Carol, remained friends over the years, connected by their shared love for their children, Michele and Mark. One of Bob’s greatest joys was his only grandson, Blake. He was incredibly proud of him and especially loved watching him play baseball. Bob leaves behind his companion, Patricia Wolverton; his former wife and friend, Carol; his daughter, Michele Marvucic, and her husband, Brian; his son, Mark Raimer; his beloved grandson, Blake Marvucic; and his many cherished cousins, relatives, and friends. Bob will be deeply missed, but his humor, feisty spirit, and unforgettable personality will live on through the stories and laughter of everyone who loved him. Although our hearts are broken, we find comfort in knowing that Bob has joined his parents and siblings in Heaven, where they are together once again. Details regarding a celebration of Bob’s life will be announced at a later date.
