Tribute

Rosa Amelia Mendez was born on April 20, 1954, in Tijuana, Mexico, She was the fifth child out of seven siblings. She loved to be a mischievous adolescent while growing up, which made her have a difficult life during her maturing age. She had three marriages in her lifetime and couldn't bear any children. Her last husband dedicated his life to loving her and taking care of her and her mother father and brother who were sick and elderly. Many years past siblings, parents and her beloved husband passed away leaving her alone with her niece and sister taking care of her when she got very ill from her heart and diabetic issues and health issues. They were always there for surgeries and traumatic injuries. She also faced depression and dementia which she pushed her family away for a year. Many months passed she called her family to take care of her again after being admitted to the hospital and was told that her heart failure had advanced to end-stage and only had a few months left to live. She was enrolled into hospice care due to the situation she had mood swings the last couple of months of her life she began to decline badly from an infection to an amputation then dementia. She attacked the family who took care of her but they never left regardless of the insults and hits and threw at them. In August 2024 she began to say her goodbyes as if was the last time speaking to her she loved her niece like a daughter she never had that spoiled her until the last month of her life. On August 24, 2024, on a warm windy summer evening, her heart stopped and left to be in peace.
